Finish Strong Racing's Dana Lyons, 52, was second overall, taking the Men's Masters title in the process, as he posted a 2-mile run, 10-mile bike and 2-mile run time of 47:37, just 25 seconds off of 24-year-old Robert Scheffler's winning time.
Outrival Racing's Sheri Okeefe, 50, and Finish Strong's James Griffis, 57, both won their respective age groups in 1:00:07 and 52:54, respectively. Okeefe had the third fastest women's masters time behind winner Joni Moore(54:16) and Shama Cycles' Melanie Sun (54:42).
Griffis was third among all male participants 45 and older.
However, it was the youngsters who also represented the area well.
Sisters Hannah, 13, and Katherine Barron, 15, just a week off an appearance at the IronKids National Championship in St. Petersburg, Florida, won their age groups in respective times of 1:00:55 and 1:02:15.
The Woodlands' Alexandra Bouthillette, 13, a day removed from winning her age group at the 5th annual Memorial Hermann Ten For Texas in 1:24:37, was second to the younger Barron by a minute and 33 seconds.
The boys' 14-and-under age group was stacked like a performance by The Woodlands High School cross country team.
The Woodlands registered finishes from second to fifth as well as a seventh place showing.
Tyler Henthorn, 14, who was third in his age group at Ten for Texas in 1:18:33, was second in 57 minutes and 14 seconds. Ten seconds behind was 12-year-old Nicolas Restrepo to put two area youngsters on the finisher's podium.
Lane Barron, 11; Zachary Henthorn, 14, and Andres Restrepo, 12, rounded fourth, fifth and seventh in times of 59:09, 59:18 and 1:00:22, respectively.
Conroe Triathletes' Casey McDaniel, 51, was fourth in her age group, while Carolina Restrepo, 28, was fifth and Carolyn Barron, 41, was sixth in theirs.

At the IronKids National Championship on Sunday, October 3, Katherine Barron was third in her age group among 11 competitors while younger sister, Hannah, was sixth among 22 finishers.Both sisters completed a 300-meter swim, 8-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run.
Their brother, Lane, Restrepo brothers Nicolas and Andres and 6-year-old Raul Luzardo also competed.
The Restrepos completed the same distance as the Barron girls while the younger Barron and Luzardo completed a 150-meter swim, 4-mile bike and 1-mile run.
