Jordan, Goedeke Lead Locals at Texas Trail Endurance Runs

     Ironman Florida finisher Dan Jordan, 53, of Conroe was eighth overall at the Texas Trail Endurance Run 50K race held at Huntsville State Park on Saturday, December 11.
Jordan was the first to cross the finish line from the Woodlands MultiSport coverage area in less than five hours, 4:56:25.
     He was followed by Magnolia's Daryl Lazauskas, 46, and Ironman Coeur d'Alene finisher Jim Harrington, 46, of The Woodlands in 5:28:13 and 5:44:02, respectively.
     Area women were led by The Woodlands' Karen Felicidario, 45, who turned in a time of 6:22:58 - four places in front of Spring's Lacy Goedeke, 28, who made her debut at the distance in 6:41:21 as she prepares for February's Rocky Raccoon 50-miler.
     Spring's Mary Citro rounded out the women's top three in the 50K with a time of 6:47:48.
     There were 19 finishers from the area in both the 50K and the companion 12.5-mile race.
     Another Ironman Coeur d'Alene finisher, Greg Goedeke, 34, of Spring, broke the area tape first, but was five seconds behind Conroe's William Wells, 39, in chip time with a 1:53:05 showing.
     Todd Armstrong, 42, of Conroe rounded out the men's top three in 1:53:51.
     The top three women all came from Magnolia - Mandy McGuire, Anne Hammons and Kelly Whiddon. McGuire posted a time of 2:10:44 as she and Hammons were second in their age group.
     Porter's Delores Martin won her age group while Conroe's Leona Devine and The Woodlands' Kathleen Crea went second and third in theirs, respectively.
     Six men and 13 women tackled the 12.5-miler.
